Friday’s entertainment calendar offers both a new party record and a return to a familiar band. Pitbull’s Pitcoin and the Oasis documentary Don’t Look Back in Anger are scheduled for October 9, according to AP’s weekly streaming guide.

The 24-track album includes collaborators such as Lil Jon, Jason Derulo and Enrique Iglesias. The documentary follows Oasis’s 2025 reunion tour and is scheduled to stream on Hulu and Disney+.

These are announced releases, not audience verdicts. Calling an album essential or a documentary moving would be a review, and those judgments should be identified as such.

The pairing provides an opening for a conversation about what listeners want from a weekend soundtrack. Sometimes the answer is unfamiliar music. Sometimes it is the return of a voice or a group associated with an earlier chapter of life.

A reunion story can also prompt reflection on relationships, although a film about musicians should not be treated as a prescription for repairing a family dispute. Viewers can discuss what reconciliation means to them without assuming they know every private detail behind a public performance.

For listeners who mainly follow R&B, the broader question travels across genres: Which group would you want to hear together again, and which song would you ask them to play first?

A shared viewing or listening session does not require everyone to agree on a favorite. Let each person select a track, explain the memory connected to it and hear the other selections without turning the conversation into a ranking contest.

The releases give audiences something concrete to explore this weekend. The meaning people find in them will be their own.
