A Los Angeles federal jury acquitted Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, of murder-for-hire, conspiracy and related charges arising from a 2022 shooting targeting rapper Quando Rondo. Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, was killed.

Two co-defendants were convicted of lesser stalking-related charges but acquitted of murder-for-hire. Banks remains in custody because he faces a separate federal racketeering case.

What is confirmed

Banks was acquitted in this case. The unrelated racketeering allegations have not been adjudicated. An acquittal in one proceeding should not be confused with the status of a separate pending case.
