Duval County enters the final weekend of early voting with 195,803 ballots reported through vote-by-mail and in-person early voting, according to the elections office’s October 30 nightly update.
The official release reported 19,271 in-person early votes Friday and cumulative turnout of 29.88%. The combined total includes mail ballots; it is not a count of Friday’s early voters alone.
Weekend hours change to 9 to 5
The county’s published early-voting schedule lists 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1. These are shorter hours than the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekday schedule that ended Friday.
The schedule lists 24 sites, including the Supervisor of Elections office at 105 E. Monroe Street, the Beaches Branch Library at 600 Third Street in Neptune Beach, and the Mandarin Branch Library at 3330 Kori Road. The full official list is linked above.
For residents fitting voting around work, caregiving or weekend events, the change in hours matters more than a growing turnout headline. A plan based on Friday’s closing time could leave someone arriving after the weekend session ends.
Participation is not a prediction
The reported ballot total describes how many people had participated through the reporting cutoff. It does not establish which candidate is ahead, how those voters marked their ballots or how many people will ultimately vote.
The Florida Division of Elections calendar identifies Tuesday, November 3, as Election Day and directs voters to county supervisors for the most current local information. Duval’s announced early-voting period runs through November 1.
Residents with questions about voting locations, their own status or the requirements for their chosen voting method should use the elections office directly at 904-255-8683. A general news article cannot resolve an individual registration or ballot issue.
For readers sharing this information with relatives, keep the reporting date attached to the numbers and the weekend dates attached to the hours. A screenshot with either detail cropped away can quickly become confusing.
