Burna Boy will headline the halftime show at the NFL’s first regular-season game in Paris, extending the global reach of both professional football and Afrobeats.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the New Orleans Saints at Stade de France on October 25. The Nigerian singer is returning to a venue where he became the first African artist to headline a concert in 2025.
African music on another global stage
Burna Boy’s catalog blends Afrobeats, hip-hop, reggae and R&B. His album Twice as Tall won a Grammy, and his stadium performances have helped introduce broader audiences to contemporary African music.
The booking is part of the NFL’s largest international season to date. The league is using overseas games and locally relevant performers to build audiences beyond the United States.
