Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime production was the biggest winner on the opening night of the 78th Emmy Awards, collecting seven awards as television’s annual celebration got underway in Los Angeles.
According to the Television Academy, the halftime special won in categories including live variety special, music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting, technical direction and camerawork, and directing for a variety special.
The Traitors followed with six awards, while The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won five. Mariska Hargitay also earned two Emmys for her documentary My Mom Jayne. Night two of the awards is being held Sunday, September 6, with the main televised ceremony scheduled for September 14.
